Dear Miner families, teachers, staff, and community members,
We began a new school year at Miner last week and we are excited and anxious to settle into our routines and plans. Our students’ energy and excitement is wonderful to see in the classrooms and on the playgrounds. Welcome back! Or, if this is your first year at Miner, then: Welcome! We would like to inform and invite you, as parents, teachers, staff and community members, to take part in a number of different efforts we are championing to build Miner into an even better school and create closer bonds between one another as neighbors, families, and partners in education. n the coming months, there will be many ways for you to become more involved at Miner. There will be both big and small ways for you to share your ideas, donate your time, or lead programs. The list below shows some of the new and ongoing family engagement opportunities at Miner. If you are interested in learning more or being a member of any of them, please contact one of us.
Even if you decide not to volunteer specifically for any of these efforts, expect to see letters sent home, emails, posts to our Facebook page, or even surveys and telephone calls to you, so we can be sure that your ideas and opinions are heard and you have an opportunity to be part of the great things happening at Miner. Everyone in our community is always welcome at Miner PTO events; LSAT meetings are open for non-elected members to attend; our Visioning Team is excited to talk with all of our stakeholders; and, as always, we are happy to talk with you personally. We look forward to working together to make Miner an even better place for our children.
