We are NOT accepting donations of furniture and other large items until the week prior to the sale! We are CANNOT accept:
SAVE THE DATE Miner Community Yard Sale Saturday MAY 6 9am - NOON 601 15th Street NE Clothing, furniture, kids clothes, toys, housewares, games, strollers, bikes Cash and credit cards accepted The Miner PTO, which is a 501c3 charitable organization for tax purposes, can provide a donation receipt for your gently used clothing, books, toys, household goods and other items. All proceeds from the sale will go into the PTO general fund and become available for “mini-grants” for teachers and clubs. Monday, April 10

DCPS NIGHT at DC UNITED (Saturday, April 8 @ RFK - 4:00 PM kickoff) Miner families will be joining with other DCPS schools for "DCPS Night" at D.C. United's game at RFK on Saturday, April 8th. STEM SURVEY Don’t forget to provide feedback on the direction you’d like Miner’s new STEM program to take. ELIOT-HINE POLLINATOR GARDEN & ENROLLMENT EVENT (Saturday, April 1 from 9:00am - noon at Eliot-Hine Middle School) Come join the Eliot-Hine community to help plant a new pollinator garden near the front of the school. Gardeners of all ages and levels are welcome, and light refreshments and various craft activities will be provided. Current and new families can also re-enroll/enroll their student for SY17-18 at this time. Come learn more about the International Baccalaureate and chat with our staff and current families! SPRING FAMILY DANCE (Friday, April 7 from 6pm - 8pm in the gym) We hope you’ll join us in your Sunday Best for our first Spring Dance! There is no charge to attend, and light refreshments will be provided. All students must be escorted by a family member or guardian. ![]() Friday, March 10 at 10:30 am in the Miner gymnasium Miner is hosting a very special event next Friday, March 10, and you’re invited! As part of the USA Science Festival “Nifty Fifty” event (http://www.usasciencefestival.org), Miner will have a very special guest speaker who will speak with Miner’s students and parents about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Dr. April Ericsson will be our speaker. She is an aerospace engineer who works for NASA at Goddard Space Flight Center, just 10 miles north of Miner in Greenbelt, MD.
