The Miner PTO is excited to launch our Move! Play! Grow! 2017-2018 fundraising campaign! The funds raised will pay for programs that help Miner Bears in grades pre-K through 5th grade:
Move! Increase physical activity throughout the day Play! Engage in safe, inclusive, and educational play Grow! Cultivate healthy, secure, and curious minds & bodies Examples of Move! Play! Grow! programs include:
Total Move! Play! Grow! Fundraising Goal: $25,000 Donate a month for Miner! Think about how much you would be paying each month for private school, preschool, or daycare. Donate - or pledge to donate - as much of that as you can. Donations by installments that you pay over the course of the year are welcome! There are TWO ways you can help raise money for Move! Play! Grow! programs for the Miner Bears: 1. Donate yourself (see our dedicated webpage) and/or 2. For parents interested to know more about these and other leadership opportunities, Miner will hold three informal information and Q&A sessions on Thursday August 31. Leadership at Miner not only includes LSAT and PTO, but the PreK Parent Committee and various school committees that have parent membership (such as Wellness and Personnel). Session times are 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30 in the Library. Flyers with detailed information about nominations and the election are attached to this email. These flyers will also be sent home in student backpacks on Monday, August 28. Thank you to everyone who came out on a beautiful August morning to lend a hand and get MIner's gardens and grounds cleaned up in preparation for the first day of school! We had a great group of folks come out - incoming families, current families, and partner organizations - and the results are amazing! The PTO and Miner's administration and staff greatly appreciate everyone who dedicated their time for this important effort. I'd especially like to thank the following organizations:

Miner's new administrators, staff, and teachers are working hard to get everything ready for the start of school on August 21.
As proud partners to Miner, the Miner PTO is sponsoring a "School Beautification Day" so that families, friends, and community members can lend a hand with cleaning and tidying up of the grounds so that our scholars are greeted with a welcoming physical environment on their first day back.
